As part of its commitment to the communities in which it works, Linkcity has partnered with the Magpie Project which provides practical support and advice to mothers and children under five in temporary or insecure accommodation in the London Borough of Newham.

Over the next 12 months, Linkcity will be supporting the charity with its objectives to reduce the number of people in temporary accommodation, child poverty and homeless referrals in Newham. Linkcity’s cash sponsorship will be supported by a proactive programme of volunteering activities and donations such as fundraising activities with match-funding, organising clothes collections, assisting with children’s activities and providing hi-vis jackets for the charity’s volunteers.

Jane Williams, Founder/CEO of The Magpie Project, said of the partnership:

At the Magpie Project we believe that improving the lives of Newham’s 1 in 12 homeless children is everyone’s responsibility. That is why we are absolutely thrilled that such a prestigious organisation is committed to working with us to support our families.”

Speaking of Linkcity’s sponsorship, Linkcity Managing Director Axel Boutrolle said:

The Magpie Project provides invaluable resources for families in Newham and, having worked in the borough for a number of years to deliver Hallsville Quarter in Canning Town, we are always looking for opportunities to positively contribute to the lives of local residents. The charity provides vital support to those in the area who really need it so we are very pleased to be strengthening our existing partnership with them with a dedicated sponsorship package.”
