Bouygues Development today announces that it has formally exchanged a development agreement with Runnymede Borough Council for the regeneration of Addlestone Town Centre.

Today’s news follows Bouygues Development’s appointment in November 2012 by Runnymede Borough Council as its preferred development partner.

During 2013, Bouygues Development hosted a number of comprehensive public consultation events which have helped shape the exciting new plans for this regeneration scheme, which will include a mix of residential, retail, leisure and hospitality facilities and the creation of new public spaces. The signing of this development agreement now clears the way for the company to move to the next stage and, in the coming weeks will submit a planning application.

In addition, Bouygues Development is very pleased to announce that it has finalised terms with Premier Inn to deliver a new 101-bedroom hotel as part of the scheme which will be located adjacent to the Runnymede Civic Centre. This commitment from Premier Inn Hotels is a further vote of confidence in the town’s regeneration plans.

Managing Director of Bouygues Development, Nicolas Guérin, said: “The signing of the development agreement is the result of many months of extensive work with Runnymede Borough Council to bring this exciting revitalisation project one step closer.

“Following the comprehensive public consultation process, we have shaped a scheme which will help breathe new vibrancy into the heart of Addlestone and complement the town. We are delighted that Premier Inn has confirmed its commitment and we look forward to announcing further news in the future.”
